| Panavision, Inc. is a leading designer and manufacturer of high-precision film camera systems, comprising cameras, lenses and accessories for the motion picture and television industries. The company's camera systems are not available for sale and are rented exclusively through its domestic and international owned and operated facilities and agent network. Panavision-Registered Trademark- is recognized in the motion picture and television industries as the preeminent brand name for cinematography equipment. Since the company was founded, Panavision has received two Oscars and 17 Awards for Scientific and Technical Achievement from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Since 1990, two-thirds of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Since 1990, two-thirds of the Academy Award nominees for Best Cinematography, and five of the six cinematographers who have won the Oscar for Best Cinematography, used Panavision camera systems. |
