Business Description

The company principal product Smallworld GIS, is used by telecommunication and utility companies to design and manage their networks of fiber, cables, wires, joints, transformers and other equipment with the goal of increased efficiency. Smallworld GIS employs unique object-oriented development and spatial database technologies which enable users to rapidly develop applications to meet their scalability, performance and integration requirements. Smallworld GIS integrates with its users' other management information systems, such as resource planning, customer information and network monitoring systems, to create comprehensive network management systems. For organizations such as telecommunications providers and utilities, the effective use of maps and other spatial information has become increasingly important in managing the core revenue-producing assets of their business.
