| Business Description |
| The company is an out-of-home media company which markets advertising space on outdoor advertising displays and transit vehicles. The company owns and operates approximately 650 billboard display faces on approximately 375 outdoor advertising structures located in Washington, Oregon, California and Idaho. The company also has agreements with seven local government transit districts pursuant to which the company has the exclusive right, for a number of years, to sell advertising on nearly 1,200 district-owned transit vehicles. The company also leases building walls in urban areas for wallscape displays. Out-of-home advertising generates annual revenues in excess of $3 billion in the United States. Out-of-home advertising offers repetitive impact and a relatively low cost-per-thousand-impressions compared to television, radio, newspapers, magazines and direct mail marketing, making it attractive to both national advertisers seeking mass market support and to local businesses targeting a specific geographic area or set of demographic characteristics. |
