| Business Description |
| The company is one of the fastest growing providers of long distance telecommunications services in the United States. The company has provided service to approximately 2.8 million residential and small business subscribers and believes that, based upon domestic residential long distance revenues, it ranks fourth after AT&T; Corp, MCI Communications Corporation, and Sprint Corporation. the company markets its long distance service through a multi-level network marketing system of independent representatives, which has contributed to its significant growth since January 1 1993. The company's pricing structure is regularly reviewed so that subscribers of the company's long distance service generally pay less than they would for competitor long distance services. In addition, the company currently provides value-added services to its subscribers, such as calling cards, 800 service, and international telecommunications service. The company intends to provide nationwide paging services beginning in the third quarter of 1996. |
