| Thermo BioAnalysis designs, manufactures and markets instruments and information management systems for use in the biochemical research and production, as well as in clinical diagnostics. The company focuses on three principal product areas. 1) Instrumentation. The company markets a broad range of instruments and consumables based on proprietary immunoassay, optical biosensor, mass spectrometry and capillary electrophoresis technologies. 2) Information Management Systems. The company offers laboratory information management systems and chromatography data systems for use in laboratories and clinical testing facilities. The company's information management systems are designed to facilitate the monitoring and analysis of samples throughout the laboratory or clinical lifecycle. 3) Health Physics. The company markets radiation detection instrumentation and complete radiation monitoring systems for use in and around nuclear power plants and other facilities where radioactive materials are used. |
