| Industry Competition |
The Company believes that the principal competitive factors in attracting and retaining information providers include the ability to provide full-text, publication-quality research reports electronically on a real time basis, relationships with institutional investors interested in receiving such research and the flexibility of open architecture systems which enable any computer user with access to a browser to receive research reports regardless of which operating system controls the information provider's computer. The Company believes that the principal competitive factors in attracting and retaining subscribers include price of the service, the depth, breadth and timeliness of content, the full-text search features available and the ease of use. The Company believes that the principal competitive factors in attracting advertisers will include the number of subscribers, the demographics of such subscribers and the "pre-qualification" features that can be offered to investment banks and brokerage firms. There can be no assurance that the Company will be able to compete favorably with respect to these or any other competitive factors. |
